The Volkswagen brand is continuing the success story of its compact cars in the age of electric mobility and is providing a first glimpse of an all-electric Volkswagen costing less than 25,000 euros with the ID. 2all concept vehicle. Initial facts: front-wheel drive, range of up to 450 kilometres, innovative technological features such as Travel Assist, IQ.LIGHT or Electric Vehicle Route Planner and a new Volkswagen design language. The production version will be based on the MEB Entry platform and is one of ten new electric models that Volkswagen will launch by 2026.
Previewed here by a concept model called the 'ID 2all', the ID 2 will sit below the VW ID 3 in Volkswagen’s electric car line-up when it arrives in 2025. It's expected to be smaller and cheaper than the ID 3, while maximising interior space.
The ID.2 all which previews a new sub-£22,000 electric model is set to go on sale in 2026 - it packs 223bhp and a range of 280 miles. The ID 2all will sit under the Volkswagen ID 3 in the firm’s EV line-up, with VW describing it as being “as spacious as a Golf and as inexpensive as a Polo”. Significantly, the ID 2all showcases an entirely new design language that will feature on all of the firm’s future EVs. This is part of a major brand revamp that's intended to, in the words of boss Thomas Schäfer, “make Volkswagen a genuine love brand”.
